People from Memphis are called “Memphians” (or maybe “Memphibians” in jest).
We’re all from Tennessee, we’re Tennesseans.
Folks from Jackson are Jacksonians, those from Kenton are Kentonians or maybe “Kentonites”.
If you’re from Afghanistan, you’re an Afghan (like the quilt), not an Afghani (which is apparently a unit of currency).
I have a friend in Moscow, he’s a Muscovite.
